A new nursery is set to open in Cleveleys with the support of funding provided by HSBC UK.
Adventures in Learning has utilised a six-figure funding package from HSBC UK to add a third new site to its existing portfolio of ‘Little Explorer’ nurseries.
Having paused plans for expansion during the pandemic, HSBC UK funding has enabled Adventures in Learning to revive growth plans and purchase the new site, which has capacity to provide services for 50 children.
The facility is situated in a woodland area in Cleveleys, to compliment Adventures in Learning’s offering of Forest School sessions, a type of early childhood education focused on learner-led outdoor play.
As a result of the HSBC UK funding, Adventures in Learning is anticipating the creation of up to 25 full time and part-time jobs.
Following the purchase of the property, the new Adventures in Learning nursery site in Thornton will be renovated, with the opening to public and start of childcare expected in September.
Emma Rathbone, Owner and Manager of Adventures in Learning, said: “The pandemic was a challenging time for us and local families, as we had a long waiting list but sadly limited capacity. Our new premises allows us to expand our support to families across the region in a perfect location for children to gain an inspirational hands-on experience of nature and the outdoors. We are grateful to HSBC UK for providing funding which helps us deliver the best quality of care for children in the local area.”
Stuart McNaboe, Relationship Manager at HSBC UK, added: “We are delighted to be funding Adventure in Learning’s latest acquisition of their third new site, which offers a fantastic outdoor space for children to learn and play. The funding allows the business to focus on enhancing their facilities whilst continuing to offer families unmatched levels of childcare and early educational support in a fun and engaging environment.”
Established in 2015, Adventures in Learning Ltd is owned by Amy Crook and Emma Rathbone who share 20 years experience as Early Years teachers, Deputy Head Teacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator. The business currently operates two nurseries in Carleton and Thornton which provide childcare for children aged 0-5 and offer a variety of sessions including mornings, afternoons and full day care.
