Local manufacturer, Strongdor celebrates being approved for Made in Britain membership

Strongdor a local manufacturing company based in Morecambe has been accredited as a member of Made in Britain. Strongdor’s adoption of the official, protected mark will help buyers recognise its products as high quality, innovative and British-made.
Now employing over 80 local people an increase of 60% in 2021, at their 44,500 sq ft factory at Southgate, Morecambe. Strongdor have also grown by almost double during 2021 and are committed to supporting the local economy and employing locally.

The mark also lets customers know that Strongdor is a trusted company that values transparency, sustainability and ethical business practices. Consumers are increasingly recognising the Made in Britain mark as a mark of confidence.
As part of Strongdor’s commitment to transparency, they have opened up their factory in a 360 degree virtual factory tour, available on their website. Enabling everyone to navigate around the factory to go behind the scenes and watch how and where their doors are made.

Strongdor are manufacturers of custom made steel doors. Proud to manufacture their products in Britain, they are committed to maintain their reputation for high quality British manufactured steel doors.

Managing Director, Tim Devenish explains why the mark is so important to the business. “As a manufacturer, we are committed to employing locally and are proud of the amount of long standing employees, who have grown with the business. Having moved to our new manufacturing facility in 2021, our production capacity has more than tripled, enabling us to deliver industry beating lead times and volumes. We are delighted to have been awarded the Made in Britain mark, which further represents our commitment to producing British made products, of outstanding quality to our customers.”

John Pearce, chief executive of Made in Britain said: “We’re delighted that Strongdor has joined the community of more than 1200 British manufacturers. The more the mark is used and seen, the more it is recognised as a mark of quality.”
