Harrison Drury builds commercial property team with new appointment

North West law firm Harrison Drury has appointed associate solicitor Danielle Leeming to its commercial property team.

Danielle joins Harrison Drury’ Preston office having previously worked at Croftons Solicitors in Manchester which is now part of Knights plc.

In her new role, Danielle will advise on the purchase and sale of commercial properties, new and renewal commercial leases, as well as negotiating heads of terms for clients and dealing with asset management.

She also brings with her extensive experience in landlord and tenant matters, acting for investors, limited companies, local councils, and housing associations along with charities and community benefit societies.

Danielle will also support Harrison Drury’s corporate team, managing the commercial property aspects of corporate deals and development work.

Simon England, head of the commercial property team, said: “Danielle joins our growing team at a time of significant demand for advice on commercial property matters and transactions, particularly as businesses across the region are renegotiating leases or moving to new premises after the pandemic. Her experience will be a huge asset to our clients.”

Originally from Oxford, Danielle relocated to the North West when she went to university in Liverpool in 2008 and now lives in Chorley.

Danielle said: “I was drawn to Harrison Drury due to its excellent reputation for supporting career progression and because I was seeking a role where I can get to the next level in my chosen area of expertise. Harrison Drury welcomes new ideas and encourages the team to get involved at all levels. It feels great to be part of the team.”

Simon added: “By investing in people and offering career opportunities to attract high calibre individuals such Danielle, we continue to be a leading choice for businesses across the region.”

Harrison Drury has a 13 strong team of commercial property lawyers at its Preston office that deliver a wide range of commercial property and property litigation services to businesses and individuals across Central and West Lancashire.
