A partnership between a Preston car dealership and West Lancashire two-star Michelin restaurant has been acknowledged as the best in the country by Porsche GB.
The commercial partnership between Porsche Centre Preston and Moor Hall Restaurant with Rooms in Aughton, West Lancashire was launched in September 2020.
The criteria for the award from Porsche GB for Best Partnership in the UK focussed on collaborative innovation and creativity. Any of the 40 Porsche Centres in the UK with a commercial partnership were eligible to be considered for the award.
The award comes as Porsche Centre Preston has been ranked first throughout the country for all aspects of operation by Porsche GB. The centre received a personal note of congratulations from Porsche Cars GB managing director Marcus Eckerman who acknowledged the team’s hard work across all departments despite the added challenges of Covid-19.
Tom Fox, centre principal of Porsche Preston, said: “The two accolades are a credit to the whole team during a trying period and only our first full year of operation. We are grateful to staff, customers and partners for their support.
“The partnership with Moor Hall is a great example. We were always optimistic we could work well together. The new award ward from Porsche GB is an important validation of our partnership. The people behind each business get on, which is important. But we also enjoy shared values on important subjects like sustainability and exclusive luxury experiences.”
With over 50,000 social media followers between them, the two brands have collaborated on digital content, bespoke VIP client events and services. They have also worked together to cross promote relevant news and offers.
In October last year, Moor Hall Restaurant with Rooms was officially unveiled as Lancashire’s first Porsche Destination electric vehicle charging point.
The “Porsche Destination Charging” programme was launched in May 2020. Porsche are rolling out charger installations at selected hotels, airports, museums, shopping centres, sports clubs and marinas. The Porsche mission to expand electric mobility follows last year’s launch of the first all-electric Porsche – the Taycan.
