The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is celebrating community business innovation by sponsoring an award at the Red Rose Awards 2021, the eleventh annual celebration of the Lancashire business community.
The Red Rose Awards provide the best possible platforms to promote success with the aim of encouraging trade within the county. The awards are about the businesses that keep the county alive – the heroes of the Lancashire economy.
The awards are an opportunity for businesses to showcase their story to the wider community by entering.
UCLan is sponsoring the Innovation in Business category, which celebrates the creative ways businesses can demonstrate innovation by how they work with their people, or in product and service development. This category is particularly poignant this year, with many companies having to adapt and re-think the ways they do business following the pandemic.
Professor StJohn Crean, UCLan Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research and Enterprise), said: “The University of Central Lancashire is delighted to sponsor the Innovation in Business award at the 2021 Red Rose Awards.
“We are committed to supporting the development and growth of local SMEs and innovative businesses, and feel it is important to recognise and promote their successes.”
Since the awards were launched in 2011, it has steadily grown and become the centrepiece attraction for the business community.
With 20 categories open for entries, there’s something for all businesses in Lancashire to aim for. The Red Rose Awards celebrates business through sector specific categories, plus categories open to all such as employer of the year, customer service award and the innovation award.
Richard Slater, publisher of Lancashire Business View, said: “We do hope businesses from across the county will grasp this opportunity to shout about the great things they do!
“The Red Rose Awards aim to promote this to the wider business community through Lancashire Business View magazine, LBV online, our social media following and through our many partners and sponsors.”
