A Fylde Coast solicitors’ firm is supporting Trinity Hospice with a free Will writing service next week.
For any Will instructions received between Monday, January 25th and Friday, January 29th, Alexander Grace Law will carry out the work free of charge, in exchange for donation to the hospice.
Jessica Turton, solicitor at Alexander Grace Law, said: “The coronavirus pandemic has thrown up a number of uncertainties for us all.
“No matter whether we are playing an active part in the national effort to combat it, or simply staying at home to ‘do our bit’, we’re all anxious about what the future holds for ourselves and our loved ones.
“While no one wants to be reminded of their mortality, the current situation is having that effect for many of us.
“In these uncertain times it’s important to have some kind of certainty. One way of achieving this is to make sure you have a Will in place.”
“In normal circumstances we would love to meet up with people in our Blackpool or Lytham offices, or at their home, to have a chat about their needs.
“The Covid-19 rules mean that we can’t do that, but there are other ways that we can take instructions, such as telephone or video conferencing.”
Alexander Grace Law opened both its Lytham and Blackpool offices in 2020 and chose Trinity Hospice as one of three benefactors for its annual ball.
Sadly, the 2020 ball had to be postponed due to the pandemic, but the firm was still keen to support the hospice in any way it could; donating £3,000 to pay for patient meals over the festive period and now, offering a free Will Week.
Lauren Codling, Individual Giving Fundraiser said: “Every penny we receive from generous Alexander Grace Law clients will come straight to us at Trinity, and be used to provide our outstanding, expert palliative and end-of-life care to all who need it here on the Fylde coast.
“The Covid-19 pandemic has affected our charity, and we are facing a £1.5million fundraising shortfall. It means we’ve never needed our community – the people we care for – more.
“We’re extremely grateful to Alexander Grace Law for continuing to support our vital work.”
Those wishing to take advantage of this offer are asked to make a donation to the Hospice when the Will is drawn up; £100 for a single Will or £200 for a mirror Will.
