Fantastic gesture by Supplement Manufacturers’ employees

The employees of Burnley based Blackburn Distribution, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of Sports Supplements, Health Supplements and Nutritional Supplements, have made a fantastic gesture to help their local community.
Since this year has been a year of continual progress for the company, despite the global economic impact of COVID, their employees have decided to donate their Christmas party budget to a local mental health charity.

The grateful beneficiary is PH7 Wellbeing Centre in Burnley, whose PH 7 Life mental health charity is dedicated not just to talking about mental health and raising awareness, but actively changing perceptions.

Commented Ben Blackburn, Managing Director, Blackburn Distribution: “2020 has been a hard and difficult year for many people and for our employees to decide to give something back to their local community, has filled me with a great deal of pride.

“It clearly demonstrates that we are all in this fight together, to ensure that we have a safe and healthy future. A big part of which, is ensuring that key mental health issues, such as stress and depression are both recognised and supported.”

In response, Paul Howarth from PH7 Wellbeing Centre said: “What a fantastic gesture by everyone at Blackburn Distribution. This donation will help us with our consultancy and outreach work, including our free mental health awareness course, where another person can now receive emergency counselling, which is potentially a life changing and priceless gift.

“As a small charity, we rely of this type of support and this donation, as well as a recent one from Alert Fire and Security (in lieu of the company sending client Christmas cards), can make such a difference.

“Christmas is traditionally a busy time for us and if you know of anyone who is struggling with mental health related issues, during the festive period, please ask them to contact us for an assessment on 01282 479929
