Phil Heyworth, Managing Director of JD Engineering Ltd. honoured TWICE at Sub36 Awards 2020.

Lancashire’s young business people recently celebrated at the Sub36 Awards 2020 virtual ceremony, where they honoured the county’s most influential, innovative and inspiring young men and women in business.

Winners across 14 categories were revealed on the night including Commitment to Skills Award, Go Green Award, Lancastrian of the Year Award and Sub36 Hero Award.

Amongst them was Phil Heyworth, Managing Director of JD Engineering Ltd, based in Colne, who was the winner of the Lancastrian of the Year Award AND the Sub36 Hero Award.

Phil commented: “I am incredibly proud to have won the Lancastrian of the Year and Sub 36 Hero awards at this year’s Sub36 Awards. It is a huge honour to have been recognised for the work myself and my colleagues have done within our local community and also celebrate the growth we have achieved as a company during difficult and uncertain times.”

Richard Slater, publisher of Lancashire Business View and organiser of the event, said: “Sub36 started life as a feature in the magazine and we had so many fantastic stories that it became obvious we needed to honour them properly.

“Since then, Sub36 has grown to a programme of quarterly networking events and awards programme, to celebrate the best of the best, which has proved very popular.

“Not only do winners get a trophy to display proudly, but they also get access to our bespoke mentoring programme provided by our mentoring partner, Northern Mentoring Programme, which will support their growth and development. They also get access to growth funding from our funding partner, Rosebud and sales support from sales academy sponsor, Sales Geek.”
