A leading supplier of gas cylinders to ambulance services and health clinics is upgrading its RFID technology to improve delivery processes.
Skelmersdale based specialist software and consultancy firm CoreRFID is upgrading Flogas’ application software and mobile devices, which will make the interface more user-friendly for delivery personnel.
The project is the latest in a series of improvements made over 10 years by CoreRFID. The Lancashire based firm established a system which uses RFID tags and application software to identify each cylinder. This enables Flogas to track cylinders and ensure validation is correct in terms of batch references and gas content details, which improves replenishment processes.
Head of Flogas Medical Gas’ Steve Gullick comments: ‘CoreRFID takes the time to understand the way our business operates and how we can develop current systems. It’s a collaborative approach which has delivered great improvements in our processes, customer service and efficiency over the years.’
Munzi Ali, technical director of CoreRFID, comments: ‘The work with Flogas shows our ability to successfully integrate RFID technology with mobile business applications for more accurate and speedier processes.’
CoreRFID’s work includes medical asset tracking solutions for IT consultancy Impress Solutions and East Midlands Ambulance Service.
