Bilsborrow based Levity CropScience, one of the UK’s leading crop science companies, has had another excellent year, particularly in the export markets.
Its co-managing directors, Anna Weston and David Marks, have undertaken numerous lectures; signed several new distributors and launched their award- winning products in New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia and Romania, giving growers greater access to its portfolio of innovative smart fertiliser products.
Levity’s products help growers produce larger and more resilient yields across crops, including potatoes; strawberries, avocados, bananas, oranges, mangoes, grapes and macadamia nuts. The crops become more resilient due to Levity’s leading research-backed fertilisers
Anna Weston, co-managing director, Levity CropScience, said: “We have made fantastic progress this year, on a global basis, with new countries joining Levity’s existing portfolio of export countries, including Egypt, France, the Philippines, Canada, UAE and the USA, to name just a few.
“We have also launched our first foreign language website (in Romanian) and undertaken lecture tours in the Middle East; the Southern Hemisphere, Philippines, China; USA and Estonia. It has certainly been very busy but enjoyable since it is great to see how our leading smart fertilisers are appreciated in so many countries, with an unparalleled demand for more information on the benefits and growing techniques.
“Finally, it was very motivational, last year, to receive recognition from the UK Government, when Minister of State for Trade and Export Promotion, Baroness Fairhead, said:” There is a substantial demand for UK expertise in the agricultural sector around the world. The Northern Powerhouse is a vitally important economic region for the United Kingdom, and it is companies such as Levity CropScience that are really putting it on the map.”
