Donation puts Cathy in the driving seat for Rosemere

A donation of £3,000 from Leyland Trucks’ Helping Hand Charity put Rosemere Cancer Foundation’s trusts and corporate fundraising manager Cathy Skidmore (pictured) firmly in the driving seat with extra cash to fund New Year projects.

Rosemere Cancer Foundation works to bring world class cancer treatments and services to cancer patients from throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria by funding cutting edge equipment, therapies, research and clinical training that the NHS in unable to afford.

Cathy said: “We are immensely grateful to everyone at the Helping Hand Charity. It is has been a great supporter of ours for a long time. Over the years, we have received £30,315 from it, which has been put towards some truly innovative projects that have made a tremendous difference to the lives of local cancer patients.

“This latest donation will help us continue to help patients being treated at Rosemere Cancer Centre, the region’s specialist cancer treatment centre at the Royal Preston Hospital, and at another eight local hospital cancer units across the two counties, including that at Chorley and South Ribble Hospital.”
