Forbes’ Insurance Team Wins National Personal Injury Awards Accolade For Second Year Running

Forbes Solicitors’ nationally-acclaimed Insurance department have won Defendant Team of the Year at the UK’s prestigious Personal Injury Awards for the second year running.

Forbes is one of the leading law firms in the North with over 370 staff including 42 partners and 11 offices, including Blackburn (3), Accrington, Central Lancashire, Preston, Chorley, Leeds, Manchester and Salford.

The Personal Injury Awards, which have been running for 12 years, provide a unique opportunity to highlight and celebrate the excellence of individuals and organisations across the personal injury sector.

Forbes were congratulated by judge Angela Kerr BABICM, who said the Team “impressed the judges with their handling and success in complex cases, teamwork, care of their clients and pro bono work.”

Chris Booth, Partner and Head of Insurance at Forbes, said: “The Personal Injury Awards identify high standards of practice and are an inspiration to everyone working in the sector. To win Defendant Team of Year once was amazing but to win it twice is a fantastic achievement and a reward for all the hard work and expertise demonstrated by the team.

“We see our role not simply as defendant lawyers, but part of a team approach that can benefit our clients overall business proposition and operation and we are glad that what we do is being recognised and is paying dividends both regionally and nationally.”

The awards encompass all professionals and key service providers working in the field. The winners were announced in a ceremony at the Hilton Deansgate in Manchester.

Forbes has over 40 years’ experience in handling insurance claims and has offices in Manchester, Leeds and Lancashire. It currently represents more than 50 local authority and housing authorities nationally.

It also works with a number of national household names in the retail and construction markets, emergency services, LEAs, schools, universities and colleges and has long-standing relationships with some of the country’s largest insurers, companies and claims handlers.
