Female network Pink Link announces Northern Powerhouse partnership

Pink Link, the Blackpool-based female networking organisation has become an official partner of the Northern Powerhouse Partnership Programme.

The Northern Powerhouse is a network of leading organisations who are committed to the economic potential of the North. The Government’s initiative aims to boost the region’s economy through investment in skills, innovation, connectivity, quality of life, transport and culture.

Coral Horn, Director of Pink Link said “We are proud to join the Northern Powerhouse and are looking forward to developing alliances with organisations that will help women to achieve their goals.

Women want to feel empowered, valued and successful in their business. We understand the challenges that female entrepreneurs face and are keen to help them access support, knowledge and investment. This partnership will help us to showcase their talent to a wider business community across the region and beyond.”

Pink Link is celebrating its 10th Anniversary of connecting and promoting women in business. They provide a variety of platforms that directly impact on the business growth of female entrepreneurship in the region. The female-centric organisation flies the flag for women in business through their networking groups, conferences, workshops, social events, the LIFE Expo and the Enterprise Vision Awards.

The EVAS are the largest female-specific business awards outside London. They recognise the successes and achievements of businesswomen from the North West. On Friday 27 September, the ninth annual Enterprise Vision Awards will be held at the iconic Empress Ballroom in The Winter Gardens, Blackpool.

Minister of State for the Northern Powerhouse, the Rt Hon Jake Berry MP, said “Pink Link embodies the dynamism, drive and entrepreneurship that defines the Northern Powerhouse so I’m delighted to welcome them to our rapidly growing Northern Powerhouse Partner Programme. I  am looking forward to working with them as they promote and support the powerful and inspiring female business leaders from across our region.”
