Eleven Sports Media to provide fan engagement channels to Sunderland AFC

Sunderland AFC’s Stadium of Light is to receive a major upgrade in fan engagement technology over the summer with Blackpool based, Eleven Sports Media, making a significant investment in proprietary hardware and software.

Eleven’s award-winning StadiumTV and StatTV will be installed across 100 fan engagement displays in concourse, hospitality and executive areas of the stadium. Eleven will also provide their StatTracker content to the club’s official social media channels.

StadiumTV is widely recognised as the No.1 fan engagement channel across UK sports venues, with club news and information, social media streams and commercial promotions featuring in conjunction with a broadcast of the club’s own matchday content.

Sunderland AFC’s fans will also get to experience StatTV, a live and interactive matchday channel of statistical content featuring detailed, succinct information on the Black Cats players and key moments from the games – creating instant talking points for the Sunderland AFC faithful.

StatZone’s highly engaging content will also feature on the official Sunderland AFC social media channels, with StatTracker content providing analysis throughout the matchweek and reflecting on key moments on a matchday, taking the conversation beyond the stadium to the club’s global audience of millions.

Eleven Sports Media are currently celebrating their tenth year and are marking that landmark by showcasing their brand in partnership with some of the most historic clubs in football, including Sunderland AFC via their sponsorship of the first team shorts.

Eleven’s proprietary platforms can be found in more than fifty sports venues across the UK from the top clubs in the Premier League to the Rugby Union Premiership, Jockey Club courses and beyond.

Eleven Sports Media’s Managing Director Matt Cairns said: “All our in-venue products have a unique purpose and are designed to connect with attendees at different stages of the fan-journey.

“We are passionate about the experience of sports fans and believe the content they consume throughout their matchday plays a huge part in the quality of their visit.

SAFC’s managing director, Tony Davison, said: “I have seen StadiumTV and StatTV in action at other sporting venues, and it will be a welcome addition to the matchday experience for all supporters at the Stadium of Light.

“Eleven will also be bringing their award-winning engagement to our social platforms, as we aim to bring supporters all over the world closer to the action.”
