Fylde Coast ARC opens £2M state of the art facility

Blackpool Enterprise Zone welcomes a multi-million pound investment, as Fylde Coast Accident Repair Centre (ARC) opens to the public.

Established in 1982, the family run business has relocated from their old premises on Palmer Avenue to a new £2million-pound state of the art facility located on Aviation Point. The bespoke building features a purpose-built vehicle repair centre that has the capacity to evolve over time as technology advances.

The impressive unit has three electric vehicle charging points with ample customer parking, a modern office space, reception, boardroom and state of the art workshop.

David Hyland, Founder, and Managing Director commented: “It is a great pleasure to see the new site open to the public following many months of planning and project management.

“The new site is contemporary, clean and professional and reflects our intentions for the future. It will allow us to deliver an efficient service, and continue to build our high-quality reputation and further develop the excellent customer service that we offer to our clients.

“I speak on behalf of all the team when I say that we are very excited about the future. The new site has generated a renewed energy in the business, which has really motivated our whole team”.

Supported by Blackpool Unlimited’s G4B growth team, David and his team at Fylde Coast ARC worked with dedicated business advisor Donna Taylor throughout the process.

David Hyland commented: “Working with Donna has been great, her level of knowledge and expertise is exceptional. Throughout this process, Donna has been a constant source of knowledge and support, helping us drive our business forward.”

Partnered with some of the biggest names in the motor trade including Sheila’s Wheels and Liverpool Victoria (LV), Fylde Coast ARC has recently secured a contract with leading insurer DirectLine.

Fylde Coast ARC has reported rapid growth in recent years and has benefited from ongoing investment into long-term staff training programmes along with the latest in cutting edge technology and equipment. This is visible throughout the new site, which also features a computerised management system that will help the business to reduce their carbon footprint and control their energy use across the site.

It’s one of the first bodyshop’s in the UK to become BS10125 Kitemark approved for Vehicle Damage Repairs and their investment in electric vehicle technology means they are now specialists in the body repair of all-electric vehicles.  This highlights Fylde Coast ARC’s commitment to delivering a high-quality service to their customers.

Blackpool Unlimited’s G4B High Growth Business Advisor, Donna Taylor said: “Supporting Fylde Coast ARC throughout this process has been a pleasure.

“Dave, Linda and the ARC team are a credit to the local economy, they are a family-run business that has celebrated continued growth due to their vision, dedication and hard-working ethos and it is important that as a local authority we support businesses to achieve their full potential.

“It is easy to see why some of the biggest insurance companies in the UK choose to work with this Fylde Coast Company, this is a long term sustainable business that invests heavily in the automotive industry, it is leading the way not only with the very latest technology but in terms of skills for the future and the next generation which will be led by Dane Hyland. Their new building is extremely impressive and has most definitely raised the standard.

“I am excited to see what is next for them and I wish them all the very best for the future”.
