Order fulfilment and ecommerce logistics specialist, fulfilmentcrowd, has announced its first charity partner, appointing local charity, Derian House Children’s Hospice.
The 12-month partnership will see Chorley-headquartered fulfilmentcrowd raise vital funds for the hospice that will go towards helping Derian House provide respite and end of life care to more than 300 children and young people across the North West.
Lee Thompson, sales & marketing director at fulfilmentcrowd, said: “As a large employer in Chorley, we take our responsibilities to the local community very seriously. Across the business, we have a wealth of talent and creative energy that we felt could be harnessed to support the voluntary sector. Derian House is not only a very worthy cause, but they also share our ethos of innovation and never-ending improvement to deliver on their objectives. Everyone at fulfilmentcrowd will be working hard through 2019 to raise funds and increase awareness of their work.”
fulfilmentcrowd has already kicked off its fundraising efforts with the launch of the £50 Corporate Challenge. Between now and 8 June, its employees have the task of turning £50 into as much money as possible, through various events including quizzes, fun runs, FIFA tournaments and a men’s charity leg wax.
fulfilmentcrowd’s clients will also be backing the company’s charitable causes, with many donating various products to be auctioned off during an upcoming charity event.
Lee continued: “Charities like Derian House rely on partnerships like ours and I know that our support, and that of our customers, will really make a difference to the lives of children and young people in the region. The team is raring to go with various fundraising activities already well underway.”
