Fitness has fuelled growth at a South Ribble studio

A fitness studio has grown its proposition to meet local demand with the appointment of a new personal trainer, yoga instructor and sports and massage therapist.

Clients flock to Mel Bartley Fitness, which is located close to Bamber Bridge at South Rings, for a whole host of reasons. Some to achieve new fitness targets, others to make a start on their fitness journeys.

But when people started to join a waiting list to train with owner Mel Bartley, the 27 year old made the decision to grow the team.

George Davies, who is 24 years old and from Preston, joined Mel Bartley Fitness late last year. He previously worked as a fitness coach and personal trainer at Nuffield Health at the Capitol Centre, Walton-Le-Dale.

His appointment as personal trainer has seen the session times available to clients double. The duo have since introduced a successful bootcamp programme too. The high-impact sessions involve fat burning, muscle sculpting and fun fitness experiences, the perfect combination of elements for those who want to lose weight.

Renowned yoga instructor, Clare Snailham, has also joined the team offering evening yoga sessions for all abilities, while a sports and massage therapy business occupies part of the mezzanine floor space.

Mel Bartley commented: “After investing into opening up my own premises I anticipated that one day I would see my business grow.

“However, an increased demand from people wanting to get fit, improve their health and also their approach to wellness has prompted us to speed-up that process.

“We’ve perfected our offering giving focus to health and fitness as a whole. People who visit here can now expect a combination of services from nutrition and exercise to sports therapy and yoga.”
