Lancaster Beerfest prepares for its 30th anniversary event

Lancaster Beer Festival, or Beerfest as it is often known, has become a staple of the city’s festival calendar, attracting thousands of visitors each year to sample the extensive selection of locally brewed craft ales. In recent years, craft cider, lager, gin and international beers have also been added to the selection on offer.

The event is done to raise money for local charities, is run entirely by volunteers, and generously supported by a number of local businesses. Headline sponsors this year are Lancaster Brewery, FGH Security, Mazuma Mobile, Hyslops Office Supplies, Black Bear IT Solutions and Levitate Recruitment.

A spokesman for the festival organisers comments “we are extremely grateful for the support of our sponsors, without whom the festival just couldn’t happen. Of course, there’s always room for more so we love to hear from other local businesses too!”

He added “The proceeds from the event all go to local charities and worthwhile causes – we’re passionate about supporting those small but vital causes in our area, who perhaps don’t have the resource for large fundraising campaigns themselves.”
