Service Care Solutions expands

Leading Lancashire recruitment company, Service Care Solutions, has undergone a huge office expansion and renovation following exponential growth over the past four years.

Service Care Solutions specialises in recruiting across eight divisions, including Healthcare, Mental Health and Social Housing. It employs over eighty-five consultants, all experts in their industry, as well as specialist compliance, finance and HR teams. The Preston-based company operates nationwide for a number of private clients, local authorities and NHS trusts and has been running for almost 14 years.

The number of employees has doubled since they moved into the building on Starkie Street, Preston, in 2015. With the company’s turnover now at £44 million, the firm anticipates headcount to grow by another 10%, to around 120, within the next few years.

The building was renamed Arthur House, after managing director, Richard Freye’s eight-year-old son. Staff were invited to attend the opening ceremony for the new office, followed by a Bucks Fizz breakfast, to celebrate a new era in the Victorian building, which dates back to 1844.

Richard said: “The reason for the expansion was simply because we ran out of room as our team expanded. Not only this, but we wanted to create a great environment for us to work (and play) in! I am extremely proud to see my vision come to life, and to have my son by my side for the opening is the icing on the cake.”

Freye started the company in 2005 from his back bedroom with two phones and a desire to provide a great service to both clients and candidates, fast-forward fourteen years and the company’s success is plain to see.

Features of Arthur House include; a dedicated break-out floor with pool table, dart board, ping pong, table football, big screens and comfy sofas; a stunning roof terrace for summer BBQs and functions; eight meeting rooms; four kitchens; onsite parking and showers with locker areas to encourage staff to run or cycle to work.

As well as this, the 11,500 sq. ft. building is carbon positive, meaning the company offsets 150% of its carbon footprint through using eco-friendly solutions and reducing energy consumption. Solar panels are also due to be installed in 2019, further decreasing the impact Service Care Solutions has on the environment.
