More than one million people have used contactless payment methods on Stagecoach buses in South Lancashire, Merseyside and Cheshire since it was rolled out across its fleet.
The system, which was implemented in July 2017, enables passengers to pay with contactless credit or debit cards as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay on smartphones.
