A Lancashire-based motor group has launched an appeal for food and gifts for the Salvation Army in this Christmas.
Bowker Motor Group is appealing to staff and customers to donate food bank items, Christmas sweets, biscuits and selection boxes at collection points at their nine locations throughout the county.
Bowker BMW and MINI Centres in Blackburn and Preston, Bowker Motorrad and Bowker Harley Davidson – both also in Preston – plus Bowker Ribble Valley in Osbaldeston are all accepting donations.
The donations will then be passed on to Salvation Army centres in Blackburn and Preston in time for Christmas.
For Bowker Motor Group, group marketing manager, Amy Lancaster said: “For Christmas this year, and for the first time, we have joined forces with The Salvation Army in Preston and Blackburn. The local Salvation Army transforms lives right here in Lancashire. And we hope our appeal can help to make a difference.”
For The Salvation Army in Preston Major Maggie Cadogan, Corps Officer said: “The Salvation Army relies on donations from many community partners. Especially at Christmas. We are grateful for the appeal Bowker Motor Group is co-ordinating. And we hope together we’ll be able to make a merrier Christmas for people in poverty and families in Lancashire.”
Donations will be welcomed at Bowker centres and dealerships until Sunday December 16th.
