Ribble FM founder takes leading role at Wireless

Founder and Executive Director of Multi-Award-Winning Ribble FM, Kath Lord-Green is off to pastures new as she takes up a major role with Wireless.

Kath has been offered an opportunity with News Corp UK and Ireland Ltd as Station Director at Swansea Sound and The Wave.

Wireless operates 30 leading radio brands across the UK and Ireland. These include market leading stations embedded in their local communities as well as popular national brands such as talkSPORT, the world’s biggest sports radio station, talkRADIO and Virgin Radio.

Iain Fowler Managing Director of Wireless, said: “I’m extremely pleased we have attracted Kath to join Wireless and I’m confident she’ll do a great job in helping to continue the success the station has enjoyed in recent years.  She has a wealth of leadership and management experience in and out of radio and was the perfect fit for taking on this challenge to lead the business moving forward.”

On being appointed to the role Kath, added: “I’m really looking forward to joining Wireless and bringing my passion for local radio to these two fabulous commercial stations. I am sad to leave my day-to-day role at Ribble FM, It’s my baby, but rest assured I am still a Director at Ribble FM and will still be involved with this fantastic Community asset which I worked tirelessly to build.

“I’ve a great team at Ribble FM and under the Station Management of Lee Roe the station has so much more to come and exciting plans in the pipeline for the future of the station.”
