Forbes Solicitors advises Acumen Financial Partnership over Wyre deal

Forbes Solicitors have advised West Lancashire-based independent financial adviser Acumen Financial Partnership over the acquisition of Wyre Investment and Financial Management based in Pilling.

The deal was completed with the help of Rebecca McCann, a Solicitor in Forbes’ Corporate Department and Trishna Modessa-Parekh, a Solicitor in the Employment Department, both based in the firm’s Central Lancashire.

Acumen was founded in 2006 and with its head office in Burscough, has taken on two staff, 400 active clients and funds under management of around £40million.

Angela Maher, founder of Acumen, said: “In the last two years, Acumen has achieved record growth of over 60%. This acquisition is another important step forward as it sees us significantly increase our client base, open our first branch office and gain a foothold in North Lancashire.”

Rebecca said: “It was a pleasure to work with  Acumen Financial Partnership and all those involved in this deal.”

“This transaction demonstrates the expertise and breadth of resource our Corporate Team has to support our clients with their strategic growth plans.”

Trishna added: “Acumen has gained two new members of staff as a result of this deal and we are delighted to have helped everyone working to complete the acquisition.”
