Former British Airways advisor to deliver masterclass in Lancashire

The marketing and digital specialist who helped British Airways put the first beds on a plane is heading to Lancashire to host a masterclass for local businesses.

Louise Fowler, who initially launched the British Airways Executive Club and helped establish the brand as an industry leader, is coming to Preston to share her experiences of ‘breaking the mould’ and driving customer-focused innovation.

Louise Fowler, Founder and Director of Davenport Strategy, a consultancy that advises companies on their marketing and digital strategies, said: “I hope sharing some of my experiences from the last 25 years will help other businesses to innovate and develop.

“Combining a strong consumer focus with commercial pragmatism and a drive for sustainable growth will help lead brands succeed.”

Matt Hutchinson, Programme Manager for Lancashire Forum at Lancaster University, said: “Drawing on her experience of working with The Post Office, The Co-Operative Group, First Direct and Barclays, Louise has a breadth of knowledge across a range of sectors that can really benefit businesses in Lancashire.

“The event is open to business managers and leaders of small and medium sized businesses across the county who want to get some real insight into how to position themselves ahead of the competition and grow, while not losing focus of their customers.”

The free event takes place on Thursday 11 October between 5.30pm and 8pm at the Preston Marriott Hotel.
