Blackpool Pleasure Beach offers dream job for young thrill seekers

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is recruiting and it’s the ultimate dream role for young adrenaline enthusiasts.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is looking to appoint a new Junior Board of Directors to assist with the running of the acclaimed park. Successful applicants will be tasked with assisting with the development of new merchandise, marketing of the park and customer engagement strategies.

Bosses are looking for new Board members to join the existing team, all of whom must be aged between 11 – 15 years old and combine a real passion for fun and adventure with a good head for business.   Selected candidates will be appointed for an initial two years and, on completion of a successful review, have the opportunity to remain on the Board until graduation at the age of 16.

The role, whilst packed full of fun, is of significant importance to Blackpool Pleasure Beach, with the Junior Board of Directors providing a much-valued, perspective on the park; essential when developing strategies with families in mind.

It also serves to provide a valuable opportunity to children, providing them with a first taste of professional life and helping them develop essential skills for the future.  Just as with Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s Board of Directors, the Junior Board will be expected to demonstrate good time-keeping, deliver tasks to a high standard and work well together as a team.

Speaking on the announcement, Managing Director of Blackpool Pleasure Beach Amanda Thompson OBE said: “This is such an exciting opportunity for youngsters from across the UK, providing them with fun, thrilling and completely unique work experience. In the past, our junior directors have helped with some major decisions, even aiding in the creative thinking ahead of the launch of our new £16.25 million rollercoaster, ICON.”
