Lancashire bookmaker expands with new online platform

Fast-growing Lancashire based bookmaker Betsid is launching a full online betting platform. The move is the most ambitious expansion to date for the independent betting chain.

The new platform, which launches on July 30, will offer punters across the UK a comprehensive sports book service and an extensive array of casino games.

Betsid has invested significantly in the online platform, delivered in partnership with leading online betting specialists FSB Technology. It will be managed from the company’s Preston offices.

The firm has grown rapidly since it was founded in 2013 and now has eight shops across Preston, Chorley and the Fylde coast along with a well-established telebetting service. It now employs 30 people.

Betsid group managing director Paul Kirkby said: “We are excited to be able to offer a full online betting service as part of our continued growth.

“We are looking forward to bringing the same level of value and customer service that our shops have become known for to an online audience.

“Betsid has always been dedicated to providing employment in Lancashire as well as the best possible opportunities for career progression for our staff. This new online betting platform allows us to continue these efforts, with our online offices situated here in Lancashire.”

He added: “We are proud of our track record for staff development, with many of our management and backroom staff having begun their careers with us on the shop floor.

“Online betting provides more opportunities for our existing workers to progress with their career, as well as safeguarding jobs at a time of uncertainty for high street shops.”

Betsid online customers will have access to the latest markets and casino games as they are released, as well as to the widest possible range of betting options.
