A Preston-based entertainment company has seen turnover rocket by a third in the last year.
Sunshine Events, more commonly known as ‘the ‘Fun Experts,’ provides fun equipment hire for events. The company has worked with clients including large corporate businesses such as Amazon and Google, television shows like Britain’s Got Talent and major footballs clubs, including Manchester United.
In the last 12 months the company has seen turnover grow by more than 30 per cent to 1.8million.
Director of Fun, James Sandwell said: “It has been an incredible 12 months for us, we’ve seen sustained growth and as a result boosted the team with seven new appointments. Working with high profile clients has really established our name in the industry, opening doors to new clients including major blue-chip brands and new customers in the education, retail and tv sectors.”
Founded 13 years ago by Sunny and James Sandwell, Sunshine Events employs 50 people and prides itself on its award winning customer service. It hires out quality fun equipment including Giant Hungry Hippos, virtual reality experiences, side stalls, mobile casinos and giant snow globes for large fun days, exhibitions and office parties.
Based on Preston Docklands, the firm has major expansion plans for the next six months, including the creation of a new depot in Milton Keynes, to service rising demand from the South.
James added: “We are now the biggest fun equipment hire company in the UK and are looking to cement that position further with the opening of new depots in other UK locations and the recruitment of more staff to join the growing fun expert team. It has been an incredible journey so far and we are really looking forward to what the next year will bring, as we invest in expansion plans.”
Sunshine Events is currently shortlisted for five prestigious business awards at the highly respected BIBAs (Be Inspired Business Awards) including the Service Business of the Year, Leisure & Tourism Business of the Year, Creative Agency of the Year, Employer of the Year, a category which the business won last year and James Sandwell has also been shortlisted in the Business Person of the Year category.
