Small business marketing workshops launch with success in Leyland

The 4 session workshop program was created by Alaina to guide local businesses, sole traders and freelancers through the pillars of marketing, creative content and social media optimisation to establish brand engagement. The workshops are delivered through engaging activities, supported by a takeaway toolkit the attendees receive each week alongside 10 other free resources included with the workshop. The attendees leave each week with practical actions to maximise the impact of their marketing efforts in their respective industries.

“I was excited to bring together my marketing and digital engagement skills with my teaching qualification, to help our local businesses thrive with their own branding and marketing efforts.” Alaina commented. “Whether it’s helping them understanding the foundations of marketing through to my 10-point social media growth session, they all gain tips, advice and skills to develop their marketing.”.

Attendees have ranged from electricians to personal trainers from the local area. One such attendee Chris Lowden, of Lowden Coaching commented “I have found the workshops really helpful in developing my Marketing and Social Networking Plans. Highly recommend getting on one of these workshops if you can get a space.”

The workshops are set in an informal setting at CrossFit Leyland, with attendees encouraged to get involved and not worry about wearing a tie or networking graces, it’s focused on learning. Alaina adds, “You won’t find a single PowerPoint slide in the workshops, as it’s all been designed for the candidates to think, act and create with relatable case studies and activities for their own businesses. Each week they have homework relating to the following week’s course, linking all the workshop sessions together.”

Another attendee, Phil Braithwaite of Advance Electrical Services added “I’ve recently added installation of electrical car charging points to my services and wanted to attend the workshop to learn how to effectively market it. I’ve been really impressed with the workshops, with useful info, tools to use and Alaina clearly knows her stuff. I’m really impressed with everything she’s shown us in the workshops”.

Alaina finishes, “Seeing the workshop attendees already put into practice elements we’ve discussed and learnt in the lesson is just fantastic! And I look forward to the next attendees getting stuck in.”.
