Blackburn based AluFoldDirect named manufacturing company of the year

Blackburn-based aluminium glazing fabricator, AluFoldDirect has been named Manufacturing Company of the Year 2018 (under £25m) at the Made in the North West awards. This latest title brings the Everything Aluminium fabricator’s total 2018 award wins to three and automatically puts them in the Made in the UK awards final in June.

Craig Miller, Managing Director, said: “It’s a real honour to win this third award as it recognises our brilliant team’s hard work and dedication in delivering customers certainty of supply so they can get on and grow their aluminium business.

“Our company motto, ‘That’ll do, won’t do’, along with our 2-week delivery promise and commitment to right first-time manufacturing means that installers get the products they need, when they need them, ready to fit onsite. I’m glad that this hard work has been recognised by the award judges.”

The Made in the North West awards were held at The Lowry Hotel in Salford on Thursday 10 May. Entries for the awards were up 50 percent on 2017 and the award judges praised AluFoldDirect’s commitment to training, commenting: “AluFoldDirect has overcome the world of skills shortages by upskilling its staff.”
