Farleys’ St Patrick’s Day celebration raises record funds

North West law firm, Farleys Solicitors, hosted their annual St Patrick’s Day celebration at Holmes Mill, Clitheroe in aid of local charity Cash for Kids.

The event is now in its 13th year and rather than being unlucky for some, they channeled the luck of the Irish and made 2018’s fundraiser the best one yet.

The event which has grown a reputation for being the “event of the year” for Farleys’ friends’ and clients brought together over 140 guests for a three course Irish themed lunch, musical entertainment and a steady stream of Guinness.

A charity raffle and auction took place with a wide selection of prizes including football tickets, concert tickets, vouchers, signed memorabilia, bottles of champagne and even a 40 inch TV, all generously donated by guests and contacts.

Overall the event raised more than £3,700 for Cash for Kids, a charity which provides vital support for disabled and disadvantaged kids across Lancashire.

Ian Liddle, managing partner at Farleys commented: “This year’s St Patrick’s Day celebration was a brilliant success. The feedback we’ve had from guests has been glowing and the most important thing is we’ve once again raised a fantastic sum of money for a very worthy cause.

I would personally like to thank all those who donated money and prizes and continue to make the event a success year on year. We have now managed to raise well over £30,000 for Cash for Kids over the 13 years of hosting our event which is a testament to the generosity of our guests.”

Nikki Thompson, Charity Manager at Cash for Kids, added: “Thank you to everyone who attended Farleys St. Patricks Day event for supporting Cash for Kids.  This is one of the most anticipated events in the calendar and we always hear lots of lovely feedback from everyone who attends.

The money raised will make a fabulous start to our Superhero fundraising and make a real difference to the children we support.”
