Local firm commissioned to produce a prestigious publication in recognition and celebration of the Queen’s involvement with the Commonwealth

Preston based The Samuel James Group, producers of Business Lancashire, has been commissioned to produce a prestigious Lancashire focused publication in recognition and celebration of HRH The Queen’s involvement with the Commonwealth.

This year has an added significance, as HRH The Queen hosts the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in April 2018, when leaders from all the member countries are expected to gather in London and Windsor.

Dennis Mendoros OBE, DL said: “This is the biggest meeting of Heads of Government the UK has ever hosted and it will bring together up to 52 Commonwealth leaders, up to 52 Foreign Ministers and thousands of people from across business and civil society, representing the Commonwealth’s vibrant and diverse global network.

“This is a golden opportunity for Lancashire businesses to showcase their capabilities and promote Lancashire as a thriving economic centre. I trust that business leaders across Lancashire will support this publication.”

The publication will carry a message from Her Majesty the Queen, together with an address from the Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire. This exclusive publication will also showcase local businesses who are connected to the Commonwealth through international trade activities, as well as featuring previous winners of the Queens Award for Enterprise.

Sam Whitear, Director, The Samuel James Group added: “This is a fantastic opportunity for not only ourselves but also Lancashire businesses, to celebrate and promote our county in this once in lifetime publication.

“In particular, the publication offers a great opportunity to showcase what a great place Lancashire is to do business, live and work and to highlight our global business successes.”
