Cuadrilla is to become the first UK operator to open up its shale gas exploration site at Preston New Road (PNR) to the public for a webcast tour and live stream Q&A session called PNR Live. This will give everyone in Lancashire, and beyond, the opportunity to see the operations underway at the site. Viewers will have the opportunity to submit their questions live via a chat room to Cuadrilla’s shale gas experts who will be hosting the tour.
The first public online tour will take place at 2-3pm on Friday 6th October and people can register to view it and submit questions at http://pnrlive.co.uk . Responses to key questions that time does not allow the experts to answer during the live stream Q&A will be subsequently posted on Cuadrilla’s website along with a recording of the tour for those that missed it live. The company plans to run these webcast tours and live stream QA& once a month to allow people to keep updated with various phases of the shale gas exploration.
Matt Lambert, Director of Public Affairs at Cuadrilla, said:
“We are delighted to launch another innovative initiative which will make it possible for people in Lancashire to see what is happening on site and follow the progress of our shale gas exploration. PNR Live will give everyone the chance to see and learn about our operations at Preston New Road from their mobile, laptop or desktop computer and put questions direct to our experts.”
