Preston firm nominated for award at The Food Awards England 2017

Preston based Clegg’s Chilled Food Service has been shortlisted at The Food Awards England 2017 in the Wholesaler of the Year category.

Thousands of nominations came in from across England with the public voting for their favourites to reward the best in the English food industry.

The black-tie event will take place at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel on Monday the 2 October.

Paul Masterson, General Manager of Clegg’s said: “We are delighted and very proud to be nominated by our customers for this award, in 2015 we won the prestigious Chilled Food Supplier of the Year award. If we win this award it would be massive achievement for our company and will show the hard work our staff put in on a daily business. We strive to offer all our customer high quality products backed up by a first class service. Our aim at Clegg’s is to be a one-stop shop for chilled and ambient food supplies. This award will give any future customers even more confidence that Clegg’s are the best option to be their number one food supplier.”

The fourth annual Food Awards England seek to distinguish and show appreciation to those establishments and professionals in the food industry that serve us the best dishes, as well as help us to explore new flavours and cuisines from different cultures.

The awards celebrate and reward the very best in the English food sector. Based on a public vote, the awards commend the talented individuals and businesses dedicated to constantly delivering high-quality dishes, produce and supplies to ensure impeccable service to their customers.

The glamorous night promises to be the biggest and most memorable event in the food industry calendar this year with a range of accolades to be presented to the most deserving professionals and businesses in the field, including Meat Supplier of the Year, Chef of the Year, Cooking School of the Year, Restaurant of the Year and many more.
