Martika Mingins, Business Development Director at Fat Media, a Lancaster agency specialising in website design, expressed how the community aspect of the expo makes it a heavily anticipated occasion: ‘We can’t wait to meet eCommerce brands from the North, and further afield. So often trade shows are held in London, so it’s great to bring opportunities closer to home. eCommerce is a sector that is growing and changing rapidly, with new technology being created all the time to keep up with customer demand. We’re looking forward to learning about all these new developments, as well as meeting now, and existing, business contacts.’

Michael Ashworth, Managing Director at magento specialists NuBlue, emphasised how important the networking side of the expo will be, saying, ‘With a great programme of expert speakers and a large number of quality exhibitors, I think the event should hit the mark as far as educating, inspiring and offering practical solutions to expanding e-retailing companies. We hope to connect with ambitious businesses who wish to increase online conversations using the Magento eCommerce platform.’Lancaster businesses showcase their wares at eCommerce Show North

Located next to the Trafford Centre, eCommerce Show North will be spread across 6000m2. All stands and seminars will be found in one huge, easy to navigate space, including networking and coffee areas.

Martyn Collins from eCommerce Show North said, ‘The North is home to so many influential names in eCommerce, and we are thrilled to create a platform for them all to come together. The eCommerce industry in the north has experienced unprecedented growth over the past few years, with research from eBay confirming that Manchester, Lancashire and West Yorkshire are the top three regions in the UK for the number of online businesses. EventCity will give everyone from the small start-ups to the industry giants a place to teach, network and observe. Connections made over the two days could impact the next decade of eCommerce dealings. The sector is booming and shows no sign of slowing down – Northern talent won’t be left behind, so there’s no better time than now to put it in the spotlight.’
