Heysham company signs up two Scandinavian distribution partners

Gjerstad Products and Arvid Gimre AS have agreed to be the Scandinavian agents to distribute fuel tanks on behalf of Fuel Proof Ltd from Heysham.

The distribution agreement, for Fuel Proof’s diesel tanks, which was signed this month, has begun with an order worth £150,000, so that Gjerstad can hold stock of Fuel Proof’s fuel cubes, fuel stores and highway bowsers in Norway to supply the Norwegian, Swedish and Finish construction and farm sectors.

Gjerstad Products is the sole distributor of Fuel Proof tanks in Sweden and Finland, whilst Arvid Gimre AS at Tjelta outside Stavanger, will also sell Fuel Proof tanks in Norway.

“This new deal” said Andrew Hargreaves, Manufacturing Director, Fuel Proof Ltd, “builds on the already substantial export market we have developed over the past ten years and because Gjerstad has an established presence in the Scandinavian region, we are delighted to be working with them.”

“Their high-quality products, delivery and competitive prices,” said Tor Kjetilson Moe, Managing Director, Gjerstad Products, “were key reasons why we wanted to partner with Fuel Proof, to complement our Gjerstad range of machine tool products.

“Fuel Proof is a well-known brand, that stands for quality and is a leader in its field. We also have many shared values such as the focus on quality, environment, reliability and value for money.

“Coupled with the encouraging economic situation for imports in Scandinavia and the fact that investment in infrastructure is high, we believe that the time is right for us to extend our range of products, so that customers can continue to choose Gjerstad Products as its total supplier

“Despite several existing fuel tanker suppliers in Scandinavia, we strongly believe that the customer will choose us and Fuel Proof,” added Tor.
