St. George’s Shopping Centre Announce Headline Student Event

The countdown is on to the Preston’s highly anticipated student event of year.
The ‘St George’s Student ShopFest’ will take-over Preston’s premier shopping
centre between 6.00pm – 9.00pm on Tuesday 3rd October 2017.

The established event, which grows each year, will see students from across
Lancashire making a bee line to Preston to take advantage of seriously discounted
retail products, free merchandise, appearances from celebrity guests and live music
throughout the centre.

Centre manager Andrew Stringer said: “There will be some great bargains up for
grabs and with St George’s Shopping Centre staying open until 9pm, there will be
ample time for students to shop. “There is a fantastic line up of top entertainment programmed for the event and with the many fun activities on offer, we’re sure it will be a huge hit with local students.”

Not only will students be able to save a fortune at their favourite stores, but those
looking for temporary Christmas work can hot foot it to the ‘Give Us A Job’ stand,
located one the upper mall – where local businesses will have details about job
vacancies available to student residents.

Students from across the county are invited to claim their free ShopFest entry ticket
online (Here). The first 100 people to register and attend the event will be in
for some big surprises. Previously the event has welcomed celebrities from Made in Chelsea, TOWIE, Geordie Shore, Hollyoaks and Love Island – this year organisers are promising that their surprise special guests will bring another incredible dimension to the event.

Sue Clark from New Look, a business taking part in the event said: ‘There’s a huge
anticipation about ShopFest within the centre – the St George’s annual student event
is always a highlight within our trading calendar. We are thrilled that the event will be
back for 2017, with some twists, and look forward to a hugely enjoyable night for our
student visitors and the centre’s retailers.’
