Local merchandising company’s unusual client

Bamber Bridge based BusinessGiftUK.com, is one of the UK’s leading promotional merchandise distributors. Its traditional clients are small to medium size companies. However, it is delighted to have a new client – the railway station cat at Huddersfield station, Felix!!!

Cat lover and Director of BusinessGiftUK.com, Ann Ward explained the background to this unusual story.“We recently lost our beloved semi-long hair tuxedo cat, Lotus, to a road accident and by coincidence, had just started to follow social media superstar, Felix on his daily Facebook page. The page outlines his adventures at Huddersfield railway station. We then decided to visit him and received a very warm welcome from Angie Hunte, one of the station’s team leaders as well as receiving lots of purrs from Felix.

“As a thank you, we produced some clearview coasters for the staff, featuring photos of the lovely Felix. They were so popular that a few weeks later, we were asked to make up some clearview keyrings, featuring this very photogenic cat, in various poses. On Saturday 29th July, they were given out to young visitors to the station, with other small gifts in goody bags, donated by the staff.

“Felix has become close to our hearts, so we were delighted to offer them a very discounted price on this promotional material and in exchange, to become a member of the Felix fan base. We now hope to supply some pencils, printed with Felix’s details, at the end of the summer.”
