A fabulous celebration of our great British countryside and a fantastic family day out, with things to do and see for all the family, whatever the weather. There’ll also be lots of traditional entertainment for big kids too, such as vintage tractors, classic cars, show jumping and free golf lessons from tournament professionals.

Other highlights include a wonderful local food and drink showcase, with celebratory real ales, traditional ciders and award-winning artisan foods.

Royal Lancashire ShowIncluded in the ticket price, is a wealth of quality entertainment including live cooking demonstrations from talented celebrity chefs’ Nigel Haworth, Lisa Goodwin, Victor Yu and Tom Parker, who will be teaching us how to make some of their signature dishes.

Enjoy a host of children’s entertainment including a fun fair, puppet show, donkey rides as well as magnificent displays, marvellous crafts, healthy-pursuits hall, climbing wall and a huge country life area. In addition, there are plenty of stands with everything from designer clothing to big tractors.

A family ticket for four is just £22, which includes on-site parking – dogs on a lead are welcome too!

After 34 years working in numerous operational and communications disciplines for three FTSE companies (Yorkshire Electricity; Meggitt and BAE Systems), at over a dozen locations, on 24 November 2016, I became the inaugural editor of Business Lancashire. Business Lancashire is a good news, Lancashire focused, business website and daily newsletter. It is a partnership between The Samuel James Group and the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce. Over the years, I have written hundreds of press releases, features for trade magazines, copy for websites and brochures, edited in-house magazines and newsletters, as well as presenting a radio programme on Chorley FM. This experience has given me the ideal background for editing Business Lancashire.
