Eric Wright Facilities Management, part of the Eric Wright Group, has raised £4,130 for Derian House Children’s Hospice in Chorley by hosting its own charity golf day.
Following on from the success of last year’s event, a total of 11 teams took part, made up of more than 40 supply partners of Eric Wright Facilities Management.
The event, held at Warrington Golf Club, was ultimately won by JBC Control Systems from Atherton.
The golf day is the latest in a series of fundraising activities that the Eric Wright Group has been involved with as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to support the communities that it works in.
In total, £2,090 was raised on the day, with the Eric Wright Charitable Trust match-funding the amount and donating a further £2,040 to Derian House. The Eric Wright Group is 100% owned by the Eric Wright Charitable Trust, which works to support the local community and encourage the education and development of disadvantaged young people.
Connal O’Brien, managing director from Eric Wright Facilities Management, said: “It was a great day and I want to say a big thank you to everyone who took part and donated. The money raised will make a huge difference to the team who work so hard to deliver fantastic care and support to children and their families.
“Supporting local charities and organisations is part of the Eric Wright way and this is another way to strengthen our relationship with Derian House. We have already delivered a new Support & Wellbeing Cente by our Special Projects division and our FM team are providing support to help the children’s hospice manage its estates more cost effectively.”
Georgina Cox, chief executive of Derian House Children’s Hospice, said: “We’re delighted to be working with the Eric Wright Group and especially grateful to their Facilities Management team for organising the golf day to support us. “
