NORTH WEST FESTIVAL SECURES MOTOR PARTNER

Lancashire’s biggest live music festival has secured one of the North-West’s major car dealerships as a sponsor for the eighth year running.

Lloyd Motor Group is the motor partner of this year’s Lytham Festival which will attract tens of thousands of people to the Fylde Coast from August 2 to August 6.

Lytham Festival has steadily grown in popularity since its inception as Lytham Proms in 2010 and this year will see five nights of live music with headline acts all performing in the Main Proms Arena on Lytham Green.

The family owned and operated Lloyd Motor Group, which began operating in 1976, has sponsored Lytham Festival since 2010 and its sponsorship of the 2017 Festival marks their eighth year working with the event.

As well as enjoying a presence at the Festival, Lloyd’s local BMW dealership Lloyd Blackpool has released two liveried vehicles to be used by the Festival team throughout the course of the event.

And to celebrate two of the biggest nights of Lytham Festival 2017, the branded vehicles are liveried to represent Olly Murs performing on Wednesday August 2 and Haçienda Classical on Thursday 3.

Lloyd Blackpool Head of Business Mark Powell said: “Lloyd Blackpool have been proud and strong supporters since the early beginning of what has now become Lytham Festival.

“We are honoured to be part of a cultural event that brings not only an array of world-renown artists, but also promotes the beautiful town of Lytham with its unique friendly people and mesmerizing coast line.

“Being a family-owned business, we are thrilled to have an opportunity to be involved and help bring Lytham Festival together at the heart of our community.”

Lytham Festival is organised by event promoters Cuffe and Taylor who this year will bring headline acts including Olly Murs, Haçienda Classical, 80s v 90s starring The Human League, Midge Ure, Dodgy and more, Madness and a celebration of musical theatre with West End Proms.

Director Peter Taylor said: “Once again, we are delighted to be working with the Lloyd Motor Group and Lloyd Blackpool.

“Their support for Lytham Festival has been tremendous since the very beginning and it is a pleasure to work with a local company who has always believed in and supported our event.”

“We are all looking forward to a fantastic year yet again and can’t wait for the first headline performance from Olly Murs on Wednesday evening.”
