NEW PRIVATE GP SERVICE LAUNCHES IN LANCASHIRE

Two of the North West’s leading GPs, Dr. Matt Orr and Dr. Manjit Jandu have launched Bespoke GP, a new private healthcare service for Lancashire designed to work collaboratively with the local NHS.

Headquartered at Preston-based Greater Lancashire Hospital (GLH), which has just secured an outstanding rating for patient care in its first Care Quality Commission (CQC) report, services are aimed at individuals, families and businesses looking for greater flexibility from their GP.
Services include GP and specialist consultations, investigations, minor surgery, vaccinations and access to a wide variety of therapists. All appointments can be booked at the patient’s chosen time with many slots available within 24 hours, and all GP consultations have a minimum allocated time of 20 minutes.

Over 20 highly-trained local specialists have links with Bespoke GP – all of whom still work within the NHS – meaning the large majority of healthcare issues can be resolved onsite without needing to visit other facilities.

Patient record security is ensured through EMIS Web, as trusted by the large majority of NHS practices to keep all information confidential.

Individual healthcare plans are available at less than £2 per day, equivalent to £60 per month, with a 10% discount for each subsequent family member. Corporate memberships are bespoke and designed around every company’s requirements. One-off appointments are also available.

Matt Orr said: “As a team grown from an NHS background we are all aware of the continuous pressures felt in current NHS settings. As such we aim for Bespoke GP to alleviate some of this pressure by giving people the option of a private GP service, thus other GP waiting times may reduce and pressures be relieved.

“We have clear communication channels with our local GP services and their responses have been very positive.”

“Bespoke GP has been set up with the focus of patient care at the very heart of our plans and this will remain our number one priority as we grow and move forward,” added Manjit Jandu. “In order to do this we have brought together a group of local, experienced healthcare professionals who excel in their roles.

“This allows us to offer flexible, same-day appointments which run for a minimum of 20 minutes, including early morning, after school, evenings and weekends. We also offer telephone access to our GPs should you be unable to arrange a consultation. This is the stress-free GP alternative.”
