Happy Holidays Thanks to Foundation

There is no shortage of activities for local children to get involved in this summer, thanks to a fun-packed calendar of events on offer at AFC Fylde Community Foundation.

The Foundation prides itself on the programmes it delivers across the Fylde Coast throughout the school holidays.

The Performing Arts and Sports Academies are two highlights which are enormously popular with local youngsters. They are now officially underway and will be running throughout the duration of the summer holidays this year.

The academies are supported by the Frank Whittle Partnership Group and provide a safe and fun environment for boys and girls aged between 5 and 12 years old.

Just one week into these summer camps and the Foundation are already enjoying impressive numbers of local children keen to get involved. The boys and girls have been enjoying a diverse range of activities ensuring individual needs and abilities are catered for. The participants are able to take part in organised activities they might not have had the opportunity to try before in a structured environment as well as make new lasting friendships.

Foundation Director Tom Hutton is delighted his summer programme has launched. He said: “Summer is a very special time for children and we try to make it as memorable as possible for everyone. The Sports and Performing Arts academies are something everyone at the Foundation takes great pride in delivering. My team are as enthusiastic as those taking part!”

“Each year our summer programme gets better and stronger and this year’s is no exception.”
