Digital agency expands

Fat Media has brought its two Lancaster offices under one roof as part of continued expansion plans.

The leading digital agency has closed its central Lancaster office at Spring Garden Street, and invested in re-development of its head office at Harpers Mill to create additional space for its growing head count and to bring all staff together.

The head office now boasts over 6,000 square feet, and the work to create additional space included a major refurbishment to alter the existing building, creating one larger open place space which serves all departments including design, development, branding, finance, client services and digital marketing.

As a whole Fat Media has seen turnover rise by almost 50% in just 12 months and staff numbers almost double. The refurbishment of the head office is part of Fat Media’s investment in infrastructure to accommodate the growing team.

Managing director at Fat Media, John French said: “The move is very important as it allows us to work much more collaboratively, particularly our design and development teams, who are now in the same open plan office space. It will also strengthen our office culture, bringing the team closer together on a personal level.

“Finally, it will give an even better experience to our clients, who can more easily meet the people behind their projects.”

Now bringing the workforce head count to a total of 78 in Lancaster, Harpers Mill will be the flagship office for the rest of the firm’s regional offices situated in Bristol and London. Harpers Mill will be the official letter-head address for the agency as of August 1st 2017.
