The £50m first phase of new Burnley business park has sold out with four deals completing in the last month.
Located at Junction 9 of the M65, Burnley Bridge was brought to life by Leeds-based commercial property development and investment firm, Eshton. The business park saw its first occupier arrive in 2014 and is currently home to a vast array of companies, including Townsend Music, Equinox, Exertis and Fagan & Whalley, which moved into its brand new 92,000 sq ft accommodation in June 2017.
The site will now see two new occupants arrive and take the balance of the accommodation on Magnesium Court. Rishton Properties Limited purchased a 6,500 sq ft unit, whilst a private investor has purchased the remaining 6,000 sq ft unit.
The 6,500 sq ft trade counter unit, which is currently let on an 11-year contract starting from May 2014 to Yesss Electrical and is also located on Magnesium Court, was sold to Grape Developments Limited.
Birchall Foodservice, which currently occupies the 64,100 sq ft Cobalt Building has bought a two-acre site next to its base with a view to expanding its operations on site.
James Chapman, managing director of Eshton, said: “Since Burnley Bridge was first announced, we have had strong and constant interest due to its fantastic location and quality accommodation. It’s great to see the first phase of our development sell out just as we start working on additional accommodation on Titanium Park and Burnley Bridge South sites, both of which will add another 42-acres to the business park.”
