Miralis Data – a specialist data, algorithm generation, software provider and machine learning agency – has just launched in Lancaster.
Miralis Data uses data analytics, algorithm development, modelling, simulation, artificial intelligence and machine learning to solve the various challenges facing businesses and organisations today.
By creating bespoke algorithms, Miralis can find efficiencies in data sets. Whether it is a logistics issue for a transport company, help needed to improve sales for an ecommerce site, or cost and time savings needed for healthcare providers – Miralis can create a tailormade solution, or a live model for change analysis.
Established by Dr Will Maden and Michael Gibson and delivered by a panel of ‘brains’ including Dr Murat Gunal, Dr Chris Savage and Professors David Corne and Richard Eglese, Miralis has already delivered an 11% efficiency savings across a 100 HGV fleet; a £2.5million saving from an acquisition; and a £2 million annual saving by redesigning a logistics network. The company works with leading businesses including the Co-Op Group, Routemonkey, Europcar, BCA and Marketing Lancashire.
Commercial director Michael Gibson, who is also a non-executive director at Hotfoot Design in Lancaster who undertook the branding and website Miralis, comments: “I’m delighted to be launching the project with Dr Will Maden, he is the data genius behind Miralis. His 14 years at the forefront of delivering data analysis and the resulting improvements for companies is a superb foundation for the company. Already before the official launch we have been able to make an incredible impact for several huge brands. There is endless potential now for machine learning and it is very exciting to have a Lancashire-based business at the forefront of this industry.”
Dr Will Maden was formerly Director of Network Optimisation at BCA (British Car Auctions) and Managing Director of Creative Logistics Modelling. Michael Gibson was the former Managing Director at Fat Media and is also a Director of UK Bathroom Store.
