Lancaster-based Hotfoot Design has reached the final stage at this year’s Be Inspired Business Awards (BIBAs). This is the second time the agency has made it to the final stages in the creative agency category.
The BIBAs, run by the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, are the ‘one they all want to win’. The in-depth application process means that winners receive a serious seal of approval from the heavy-weight judging panel.
Creative Director Charlie Haywood comments: “Entering an award like this is a great opportunity to look back at everything we have accomplished with our clients this past 12 months. We are delighted to have made it to this final stage. The BIBAs have a brilliant reputation, being a finalist is a great achievement in itself, and naturally we’d like to win this year!”
This news marks the halfway point of a highly successful year for Hotfoot. The agency recently announced that Michael Gibson has joined as a non-executive director. Previously head of Fat Media and current Digital Lancashire Chair, Michael brings a wealth of experience and passion for the industry. He comments: “I’ve known Charlie, Aidan and Guy for many years. Hotfoot is a brilliant creative agency with a great reputation for design and digital marketing. I’m delighted to be getting involved to help the team take things to the next level. After some time away from the agency world it’s an opportunity I will relish.”
Earlier in the year, Hotfoot announced two senior hires – Becky Sewell joining as a senior designer, Jane Devereux as PR consultant. The extra hands being required to handle a raft of new business wins.
New clients for 2017 include Brades Farm, Beetham Nurseries, Miralis Data, Jewels of Ummah and Atkinson Vos. These join existing client Lancaster Brewery and its portfolio of hospitality properties including The Mill, The Sun and Duke of Edinburgh Hotel.
Chris Duffy, general manager at Lancaster Brewery explains the ongoing relationship: “We have worked with Hotfoot Design for some time now and I can honestly say it’s been a revelation. The whole Hotfoot team has a great understanding of the audience we are targeting, and use effective media strategies to promote and grow our business. Being knowledgeable and relevant is so important in making an impact online, especially in social media, and Hotfoot have got it spot on!”
The next round of interviews for the BIBAs will take place this month, with the winner being announced on 15 September at a ceremony at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
