Agency provides the ultimate make-over with new client website

A leading digital marketing agency has launched a new website for international beauty brand, Technic Cosmetics.

Lancaster-based Fat Media were commissioned alongside Leeds-based, Principles Agency, to develop a new website for the brand to reflect Technic’s range of high-value colour cosmetics as well as to host makeup tips and trends.

Technic Cosmetics is the flagship brand underneath Badgequo Ltd which produce the award-winning, cruelty-free cosmetic brand that is stocked with major high street and online retailers including, Dorothy Perkins, Bodycare, Boohoo and Amazon.

The project included the development of mega menu’s which allows the user to find products easily, interchangeable large banners on the homepage showcasing the brands vast product selection; and social media integration which introduced the website to social sharing buttons for the first time.

Zara Longhorn, account manager at Fat Media, said: “The client came to us ultimately for a refresh and to improve user experience throughout the website. By implementing new imagery and mega menu’s we were able to create ease for the user and decrease the number of drop-offs. SEO set-up is key to a brands presence across different search engines and by including keyword research, meta data and search-friendly URL’s we were able to create a way to increase traffic to the website.

“The brand has such a huge portfolio of products it was important to integrate the Instagram and Twitter feeds to encourage social media users to engage with the brand freely using the like and share buttons. We really enjoyed working on such a creative brand.”

James Bell, marketing manager at Badgequo added: “The focus of Technic has always been to provide high-quality, trend led makeup at an affordable price. The brand has been incredibly successful both in the UK and overseas over the past few years and we believe this new website will only help to boost that growth”.
