The secrets of taking a business from local brand to a global brand will be shared during an event with business leaders later this month.
Marnie Millard, Group Chief Executive of Nichols PLC, will be sharing the history drinks giant Vimto and how it grew from being a small regional business to a global brand represented in 65 different countries during the event at Lancaster University Management School on May 17.
The talk is part of a series of inspirational business Masterclasses hosted by Lancaster University Management School and supported by NatWest. The series is open to all business owners and managers across the North West.
Marnie, who joined the Nichols Plc in 2012 as Managing Director of UK Soft Drinks Division, was appointed to her current role in 2013.
She said: “At Nichols we’re constantly looking for the latest innovation and talent within the industry. It is this together with our diversification across different routes to market, with a large geographical reach that has led to our track record of profitable brand growth and puts us in a strong position going forwards. It’s fantastic to be able to share our experience and learnings with other businesses in the North West and the potential leaders of the future.”
Helen Fogg, Head of Business Engagement at Lancaster University Management School said “The story of how Vimto has grown into an international brand is one which I think will be of interest to a lot of small and medium-sized business owners in the region. We are delighted that Marnie has agreed to come and share her expertise in this Masterclass.”
Sue Haslem, Relationship Director at NatWest, said: “Vimto is a fascinating North West brand that has evolved through the innovation and determination of the leadership team at Nichols PLC. We look forward to hearing Marnie’s take on the brand’s success during the upcoming Masterclass.”
