Carl Fogarty will officially launch Campbells Caravans new showroom

National sporting treasure and Blackburn local, Carl Fogarty will officially launch Campbells Caravans new showroom on Saturday 29th April, with a ribbon cutting ceremony and a family fun weekend.

Located on Croft Head Road in Blackburn, the previous Read Caravans site, the new showroom will specialise in new and used caravans, building on Campbells Caravans existing sites in Preston and an almost 50 year heritage as a family business in Lancashire.

As an undisputed icon of motorcycle racing, Carl Fogarty remains the most successful superbike racers of all time, he is 2014’s King of the Jungle as seen on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here and one of Blackburn’s most famous sons. Carl will be performing the ribbon cutting ceremony to launch the new Campbells Caravans showroom at 1.30pm on Saturday 29th April followed by an open-to-all celebration.

Across the weekend there will be a family fun day on both Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th April which will include inflatable football, face painter and giant games running 11am-3pm. There will also be a free BBQ available from 12noon-3pm. Campbells Caravans is also providing exclusive special offers only available at the Blackburn launch and suppliers will be performing demonstrations throughout the day.

The launch follows a complete renovation of the offices, shop and showroom as well as substantial extensions to the existing buildings on the site. The newly renovated site has become a destination for keen caravanners, with an impressive awning department on the mezzanine floor and an extensive shop which includes everything you might need to start your new caravanning lifestyle, from crockery and glassware to doormats and jacks.

The showroom also has a dispatch centre, where all caravans which leave the forecourt are tested to ensure all aspects are fully functioning and to educate the new owners how to operate and maintain their caravan.

Daniel Campbell, director at Campbells Caravans, said: “We’re thrilled to be launch our new showroom in Blackburn. As a family business which has been operating for almost 50 years it seems right to celebrate this launch with local families.

“Caravanning is all about the lifestyle it brings and the wider community that comes with it, which is why we are supporting fellow family firm The Travelling Pig, who will be cooking up a storm on the BBQ. We’re excited to showcase our new showroom, to meet fellow caravan enthusiasts and to welcome previous Read Caravans customers into our family.”

At the launch event guests will be able to view more than 50 new and used caravans on site including the latest models from well known brands such as Lunar, Bailey and Swift Caravans.
