Jigsaw Training named on official apprenticeship provider register

Preston-based Jigsaw Training has been named on the official register of apprenticeship training providers.

The new register, published by the Department for Education (DfE) and the Skills Finding Agency (SFA), aims to make sure everyone embarking on an apprenticeship is doing so with a registered provider.

Levy-paying employers will be able to choose their apprenticeship training delivery from this provider base for all apprentices starting their programmes from May 2017.

Jigsaw Training has been through a rigorous assessment process to make it on to the register, which shows the specialist provider meets apprenticeship quality expectations.

The register has been described as a ‘crucial milestone’ in delivering the government’s wider reforms to make apprenticeships more rigorous, better structured, independently assessed and more clearly aligned to the needs of employers.

The reforms include the introduction of the apprenticeship levy from April 6, which will require employers with a wage bill of over £3 million a year to pay 0.5% of their wage bill, to invest in apprenticeships.

James Blackhurst, managing director of Jigsaw Training, said: “Being included on the list of registered providers is great news for Jigsaw Training and our entire team. There’s a lot for employers to think about in the coming weeks so having a registered list will give them confidence that they’re dealing with a high-quality provider.”

Jigsaw Training is a specialist total training solutions company for the facilities management sector providing the complete package from training needs analysis through to the design, administration, delivery, management and evaluation of all programmes.
